As the New Year arrives, it is natural for us to reflect and set intentions for the months ahead. This time of renewal often brings excitement, hope, and the desire for change. Yet true transformation does not come from lofty resolutions alone—it comes from how we live with ourselves each day.
In the Buddhist tradition, sīla speaks to integrity: living in alignment with our values, keeping our word, and honoring the commitments we make—especially the ones we make to ourselves. Integrity begins quietly, in the small moments where we choose to follow through, to be honest with our needs, and to act with kindness toward our own body and mind.

Rather than striving for perfection this year, I invite you to focus on consistency. Notice the promises you make to yourself and gently practice keeping them. When you stumble, meet yourself with compassion rather than judgment. Healing and growth happen not through force, but through patience, awareness, and self-respect.
As your practitioner, my philosophy is rooted in supporting sustainable, meaningful change—change that honors where you are and where you wish to go. This New Year, may you live with integrity, care for yourself with intention, and trust that small, steady steps create lasting transformation.
Wishing you a year of clarity, balance, and deep self-trust.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kiran Rapal
